Actress Deepika Padukone collaborates with NGO Sangath to launch campaign ‘Frontline Assist’
Deepika has recently announced that she has collaborate with a NGO to ensure the emotional stability of the frontline workers.
Deepika Padukone, a Bollywood superstar, has announced her participation in a new campaign aimed at assisting frontline workers in remaining emotionally stable amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The actress was a sufferer of depression herself, a few years back and hopes to launch an initiative called ‘Frontline Assist.’ The earnings from the ‘Deepika Padukone Closet’ will be donated to the Covid-19 well-being facility by the NGO Sangath.
She stated that frontline fighters play an important role in defending those suffering with Covid while putting themselves in danger. She went on to say that she has experienced mental instability and that creating a stable atmosphere for them is an urgent necessity. Deepika is honoured to be involved with such a worthy cause and to be able to assist frontline warriors through ‘Frontline Assist.’ “is the greatest way to express gratitude to them.
Deepika Padukone shared a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Frontline workers have been the backbone of our country as we weather this pandemic. We are proud to direct proceeds from ‘The Deepika Padukone Closet’ towards mental health support of our country’s real heroes through our partnership with Sangath”.
Deepika Padukone established ‘The Deepika Padukone Closet’ in 2019 to raise awareness about mental health and to provide a platform for her followers to purchase merchandise from her website. She also expressed her excitement that ‘The Deepika Padukone Closet’ has been given the opportunity to promote mental health awareness for renowned people in the country as well as collaborate with the NGO Sangath. The funds raised through this project will be utilised to provide free counselling sessions as well as mental health self-care resources.
