Anita Hassanandani says ‘goodbye’ to the showbiz industry

Anita Hassanandani Reddy is an Indian actress primarily working in Hindi serials as well as Hindi, Telugu and Tamil films. She is best known for her portrayals in Kkavyanjali as Anjali, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein as Shagun Arora and Naagin as Vishakha Khanna. Anita married corporate professional Rohit Reddy in Goa on 14 October 2013. On 10 October 2020, she announced her pregnancy in an Instagram video featuring Reddy and herself. The couple had their first child, a boy on 9 February 2021. They named their son Aaravv Reddy.
Anita gave birth to her child this year in February, has decided to say goodbye to the showbiz industry.
Anita made it clear and straight that her quitting decision was not because of the ongoing COVID19 pandemic but her baby as she wants to be at home with him.
During an interaction with Times Of India, she said, “I had decided that whenever I would have a child, I would leave the industry and let go of my work. I always wanted to focus on being a mother. So it’s not about the pandemic, I would have either way left the industry, pandemic or no pandemic. I want to be at home with my kid.”
She further added, “I don’t know when I will get back. Although I am doing some work here and there because of the contracts that I had signed with different brands. I am doing all this for social media where I am shooting at home and it is stress-free. I am being extremely careful too. Maybe one person will come to shoot and the person too has to have a proper test done before coming inside the house. But getting back on a full-fledged set of a TV show, I don’t know when that will happen. But I am sure when I decide to get back, people will get to know.”
The 40year vintage actress in addition added she changed into doing a little small quantity work due to the contracts that she had signed with exceptional brands. She is doing the whole thing for social media and taking pictures at home taking all the necessary precautions and protection protocols. She concluded and said it’s risky that she will be able to get lower back to a full-fledged tv show each time soon.
