Anupam Kher shares his views on getting into politics

The 55-year-old actor-director, has held the post of chairman of Central Board of Film Certification and National School of Drama. He also owns a production house that has produced over three movies and also some television shows to date. None other than Anupam Kher is also popular on his social handle sites for actively participating in political issues.
As many of the Bollywood celebs had joined politics Anupam Kher is clear about not joining politics.

In an informal chat interaction with the regional media on Monday, Kher states that “ the question of joining politics does not arise.
He was fielding a question regarding talks of him contesting the last Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh in 2017. He said that if one shakes their hand with a person, people start concluding according to their convenience.

Meanwhile, Anupam Kher’s actor wife Kirron Kher is the BJP MP from Chandigarh. In April it was revealed that Kirron has been diagnosed with blood cancer and is undergoing treatment of the same. Talking about his wife, he said that there are several side effects of chemotherapy but her willpower is very strong. The actor is supporting his wife Kiron Kher in battling cancer. After her diagnosis, Anupam Kher quit his American TV series New Amsterdam to be with his wife in these testing times.

Soon, the audience will get to see Kher narrating and anchoring the Discovery+ documentary Bhuj: The Day India Shook. It is based on one of India’s most destructive earthquakes that took place 20 years ago. The documentary combines facts, authentic research, and first-hand accounts of survivors to uncover the tragedy.
