Bajrang Dal activists throws Ink at Prakash Jha, ransacked the sets of Aashram

Film director Prakash Jha was smudged with ink by Bajrang Dal activists in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, The reason was his web series Aashram, alleging an “assault” on Hinduism. The attack started when director Prakash was shooting scenes for the third season of the series. Moreover, the lead character of the web Bobby Deol, in Bhopal’s old jail premises.

The attack started when director Prakash was shooting scenes for the third season of the series. Moreover, the lead character of the web Bobby Deol, in Bhopal’s old jail premises. In a video-clip of the incident that emerged on social media, Bajrang Dal activists can be seen vandalizing the shooting set and assaulting a crew member.

Moreover, Police stated related to this incident, the activists also smeared ink on Jha and broke the windshield of at least three buses before they intervened and got the situation under control.

Bhopal DIG Irshad Wali said no FIR has been registered and no complaint was made by Jha or the crew member who was assaulted. He further said, “We are identifying those involved based on the videos available and action will be taken against all those involved.” Officials said four people have been detained in the incident.

Sushil Sudele, VHP convenor for central India, quoted, “Madhya Pradesh government has given them permission to shoot with a view to promote tourism but they were not granted permission to defame the Hindu religion. We have been assured that the title of the web series will be changed and based on it we will review our stand.” He further added, “Bobby Deol should learn from his brother Sunny Deol, who has made such patriotic movies.”
