Bigg Boss OTT: ‘Mummy Ki Umer Ki Hai’ says Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh for Shamita Shetty, age shames her

Hosted by Karan Johar, Bigg Boss OTT started with much fanfare. Boasting a strong roster of contestants, the show will exclusively air on streaming platform Voot. This season’s contestants are Shamita Shetty, Pratik Sehajpal, Divya Agarwal, Neha Bhasin, Zeeshan Khan, Raqesh Bapat, Ridhima Pandit, Millind Gaba, Urfi Javed, Zeeshan Khan, Karan Nath, Nishant Bhat, and Akshara Singh. Now, no season of Bigg Boss is ever complete without arguments and controversies.

It is just the early days in the show, and the conversations inside the house are heating up. Contestants are fighting over everything in sight. Most spats are happening over the kitchen duties. Shamita Shetty and Divya Agarwal are handling the kitchen duties but look like the housemates aren’t happy about it. After Pratik Sehajpal, Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh complained about not getting proper food.

In a recent episode, Akshara went on to comment that Shamita should keep her starry airs to herself and that she is as old as her mother. In a conversation with fellow contestant Urfi Javed, she referred to Shamita as “maasi (maternal aunt).” The Bhojpuri star was also surprised that Shamita is in her early 40s, considering how long she’s been working.

Akshara also added that Shamita has the habit of dominating others and keeps an eye on everything that is happening in the house. Urfi also supported her on this and added that Shamita tries to dictate things, ‘apne season mein toh harr ke he gayi na, kya kar liya’ (she was unable to win her season, and now she tries to dictate things to us).

For the uninitiated, Shamita is not doing the reality show for the first time, she had earlier entered the Bigg Boss 3 house in 2009. She walked out of the show on Day 34 to attend her sister Shilpa Shetty’s wedding.

Shamita shared that she has major OCD issues and as per the theme of the show, ‘Stay Connected’, the actress chose Raqesh Bapat as her connection. She became the first contestant to enter the Bigg Boss OTT house.
