CISF clears that the officer who stopped Salman Khan was ‘suitably rewarded for exemplary professionalism,’ not punished

A misconception that the officer who had stopped Salman Khan at the Mumbai airport had been penalized. On the contrary, the central agency said that the officer has been rewarded for his professionalism.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan always makes headlines, and recently when he was stopped at the Mumbai airport by a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer, the video has been trending. He was hailed for performing his duty. Rumors were that the officer has been penalized. But on the contrary, the CISF has tweeted that the officer was ‘suitably rewarded for exemplary professionalism.’

Taking to their official Twitter handle, CISF wrote, “The contents of this tweet are incorrect & without factual basis. In fact, the officer concerned has been suitably rewarded for exemplary professionalism in the discharge of his duty. @PIBHomeAffairs.”

On August 20, a video showed Salman Khan arriving at the airport to travel to Russia, where he is currently shooting for Tiger 3. As Salman headed towards the airport terminal, the CISF officer in question stopped him and asked for him to first get clearance from the security checkpoint. He also told the photographers to stay back. While his actions were lauded by fans in the comments section and on social media, a recent report quoting another CISF officer suggested that the officer’s phone had been confiscated to prevent him from talking to the media.

Salman Khan is in Russia currently shooting for Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif. They have been sharing a lot of pictures on social media. The lead actress also shared pictures and videos on her Instagram handle. It will be the third installment in the Tiger film franchise helmed by Maneesh Sharma.
