Delhi based lawyer files case against 38 Bollywood and Tollywood stars over revealing a victims name
The case has been filed because the stars revealed the name of the victim on social media without any obligations towards the laws
In 2019, a heinous tragedy horrified and disturbed humanity. Four guys mercilessly raped, murdered, and burned alive a female in Hyderabad two years ago. The episode is still vivid in people’s memories since it caused quite a commotion. At the moment, not only ordinary people, but also Indian celebs, stated their grief over the incident and took to social media to communicate their feelings, with some even revealing the victim’s identity. They are now in legal difficulties as a result of this.
According to the newest sources, 38 Indian superstars, notably Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and many others, have been charged for exposing the name of the victim of rape on media platforms. The lawsuit involves 38 Tollywood and Bollywood movie stars.
According to the laws, using the true names of victims of abuse in the press or on any public forum is immoral, and a Delhi-based lawyer has already filed suit. Gaurav Gulati, a lawyer, has filed a complaint involving Farhan Akhtar, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Maharaja Ravi Teja, Charmme Kaur, Allu Sirish, as well as other celebrities.
According to reports, Gaurav lodged a complaint at Sabzi Mandi Police Station citing IPC section 228 A as well as filed a case in Tees Hazari Court. In his lawsuit, the advocate who practises in Delhi said that, rather than setting a good example for someone else, Indian stars of such prominence abandoned their moral standards and disclosed the victim’s true identity without regard for moral duty.
Gaurav has allegedly requested the arrest of all of the aforementioned personalities immediately, saying that they have demonstrated no responsibility to society in terms of protecting the victim’s identity.
