Duo Directors Raj & DK shares stills of Late Actor Asif Basra From Their Upcoming Webseries ‘The Family Man’ Season 2

Raj and DK remember late Asif Basra, shared a still from the trailer.

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna Dasari Kothapalli, collectively known as Raj & DK, are Indian filmmaking duo who primarily work in Hindi language films. The duo has given several hits over the years. The famous prime video web series ‘The Family Man’ was directed by none other than Raj & DK itself.
The Family Man Season 2 trailer was launched for the audiences earlier this week and the response was tremendous, seemed this was the one thing audiences have been waiting for. The show will release on June 4.
The trailer divulges how Srikant’s character will handle his dual life — that of a middle-class family man and a secret agent. The Family Man 2 trailer received a lot of love from the audiences and gathered five million views in only five hours. While fans praised Manoj and Samantha for their performances, the glimpses of performances by Manoj and Samantha, they also noticed late actor Asif Basra in the trailer. Asif is seen playing the character of a marriage adviser for Srikant and his wife. The actor appears in the latter half of the trailer in a comic scene with Bajpayee.
Raj & DK, the makers of Manoj Bajpayee-starrer The Family Man 2, took to Instagram to memorise Asif Basra, who died by suicide in November last year. The duo shared a still of Basra on their Instagram from the recently released trailer of the web series and wrote a note for him. In the caption they wrote;
“Many of us have been affected by the loss of a loved one in the last year. Asif Basra shot with us for Season 2. He was brilliant! And losing him to suicide has left us heartbroken! May your soul find peace and comfort wherever you are… Asif Basra!”

Late Actor Asif Basra died by suicide in McLeod Ganj, Himachal Pradesh in November last year. He was 53 years old. Asif Basra was found hanging at a private complex in Dharamshala.
