Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms arranges vaccination drive for staff

The drive will cover two shots of the vaccine for all of Balaji Telefilm Group’s on-roll and off-roll staff.

Ekta Kapoor is one of the most successful Indian television producer, film producer and director who works in Hindi cinema and soap opera. She is the joint managing director and creative head of Balaji Telefilms Limited, which was founded in 1994. In 2001, Balaji Motion Pictures was launched as a subsidiary company of Balaji Telefilms Limited which is a film production and distribution company. She launched ALT Balaji in April 2017.

Balaji Telefilms, one of the leading production houses in the TV industry, on Thursday announced a vaccination drive to immunise all its staff members. The drive aims to vaccinate 600-800 employees of Balaji Telefilms, ALTBalaji and Balaji Motion Pictures Private Limited. The drive is being held at two centres on Thursday, namely the Balaji residence and Killick Nixon Studios, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Zulfiqar Khan, Group COO of Balaji Telefilms said, “As an organisation, we have always believed that our people are our biggest assets, and we’ll continue to look out for them. The team at Balaji will ensure that the vaccination drive is a convenient process for one and all abiding by all the required government protocols.

The second wave of the pandemic has hit the film and tv enterprise all over again and halted or slowed down work. Amid this, loads of filmmakers and cine bodies have come together and try to get employees inside the industry vaccinated to assist them to resume work.

Aditya Chopra (YRF’s Chairman) firstly initiated the mass vaccination drive for the registered cine workers. He was later followed by filmmakers like Rajkumar Hirani, Karan Johar and producer Mahaveer Jain too to initiate a free of cost vaccine drive for the cine workers of the industry.
