Farhan is being trolled for congratulating women’s hockey team instead of men’s
The Indian Men’s Hockey Team made history today by winning the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The squad earned a bronze medal by beating Germany, and the entire country is ecstatic by this win. The entire country is in a festive mood, and congratulatory messages began to flow in shortly after the victory.
Bollywood celebs rushed to social media to applaud the Men’s Hockey Team on their stunning victory. However, Toofan star Farhan Akhtar was reportedly heavily ridiculed when he erroneously praised the Indian Women’s Hockey Team.
Within minutes, netizens began mocking him for his error. Farhan rushed to Twitter to express his support for the girls, writing, “Go Girls!!! So proud of #teamIndia for displaying exceptional battling energy and getting home our fourth medal…awesome thing. #Hockey #Tokyo2020.”
The actor praised the Indian Women’s Hockey Team rather than the Indian Men’s Hockey Team.
