When Hritik Roshan was persuaded by Aamir Khan to play Karan Singhania in Rang De Basanti
In the autobiography by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra certain details from the movie Rang De Basanti has surfaced
Very recently Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra said that Aamir Khan tried to persuade Hrithik Roshan to portray Karan Singhania in Rang De Basanti. Siddharth, a Tamil actor, finally took up the role.
Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra discussed the difficulties he experienced while filming Rang De Basanti in his autobiography, The Stranger in the Mirror. Karan Singhania’s casting was one of those. The filmmaker claimed that he contacted several celebrities, notably Farhan Akhtar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Hrithik Roshan.
“Every well-known actor turned down the part of Karan Singhania. I originally proposed it to Farhan Akhtar. He had never performed in a film previously and was among the most acclaimed young filmmakers at the time. He was taken aback and delighted at the same time. When I informed Abhishek about it, he said flatly, “I thought you were weird, but after hearing your story, I think you are totally insane,” According to News18, he said in the book.
Rang de Basanti is a 2006 movie which garned a lot of love from the viewers.
Talking about the lead actor Aamir Khan, he was recently in the headlines due to his divorce with his wife Kiran Rao, despite the divorce in the video released by the ex-couple they claimed they still are one family and would continue be like that for their son.
