Tahir Raj Bhasin is one of the talented and underrated actors in the Bollywood industry. He clearly has optimal acting skills and he performs the role with his full enthusiasm. Tahir made his screen debut with Kismat Love Paisa Dilli in 2012 and made brief appearances in Kai Po Che! (2013) and One by Two (2014), before making his official film debut with Mardaani (2014), which delivered him a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and the Screen Award for the Best Antagonist. His Latest film Chhichhore (2019) became a blockbuster hit.

Tahir in an interview revealed he came to Mumbai as an aspiring actor and get a chance in YRF or Dharma movies but sooner realised the harsh reality of the Bollywood industry. Speaking to radio host Siddharth Kannan on his show, he said, “I had actually come with a big dream, that I’d come to Bombay and bag a Yash Raj or Dharma film in a week. But the reality of Bombay you only find out when you get here. It takes you three months to find a house here, roles are another thing altogether,”.
He further added It took me around four years before that audition for Mardaani came along. Every audition in which I was rejected contributed in some way to the audition that I gave for Mardaani… I have been anywhere between rejected 250-300 times, in total, including ads, films, everything.”
Apart from Mardaani, which also starred Rani Mukerji in the lead role, Tahir Bhasin also starred in Force 2, Manto, Chhichhore and web series like Love Shots and Pyaar Actually (Real Is Rare).

On the work front, Tahir will be next going to be seen in Loop Lapeta opposite Taapsee Pannu and the Netflix film Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein. He will also be been in the sports drama, ’83, directed by Kabir Khan and co-starring Ranveer Singh among others. He is set to play the role of the ace cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar.
