Janhvi gives an insight into her dream wedding with a “sane” person
Janhvi for a magazine revealed how she dreams of her perfect wedding, everything from décor to outfit
Janhvi Kapoor has her marriage ceremony planned out in her thoughts, down to the venue and décor, as well as whether or not a reception is even ‘essential.’ Janhvi is the daughter of late star Sridevi and film producer Boney Kapoor.
She discussed her planned future wedding and how she envisions it in a story for a fashion label. Janhvi has stated that she wants a’simple and basic’ ceremony that she hopes to complete in ‘two days.’
Janhvi Kapoor said in a video to Peacock Magazine that her bachelor party would be held “in Capri, on a yacht,” and that her marriage ceremony will be held in Tirupathi. Janhvi said that her mehendi and sangeet ceremonies will actually happen in ‘a house in Mylapore,’ most likely referring to Sridevi’s family home. She also confessed that she isn’t a big fan of receptions. “Is a reception required? No way, na? Forget about the reception.”
Janhvi has stated that her marriage decorations would be ‘traditional, yet simple, with mogras and candles.’ She admitted that she isn’t ‘very good with décor,’ however she wishes it to be ‘simple and basic,’ to the point that she anticipates her wedding to be brief. “Two days mein I’ll liptao it (I’ll finish it in two days),” she promised.
Janhvi revealed that she would want to have her pal Tanisha Santoshi, her sister Khushi Kapoor, and her half-sister Anshula as bridesmaids. She expressed concern that Khushi and her father may become too ’emotional’ at the time of wedding, so she envisions Anshula as the one in charge.
She further stated that she will choose a kanjivaram or a pattu pavadai saree for her marriage, which would be gold and ivory in colour. Her mehendi and sangeet outfits will be pink and yellow in colour, respectively.
“The groom will probably be a sane human being since I haven’t met one yet,” Janhvi said of her potential spouse.
Janhvi debuted in Bollywood in 2018 with Dhadak, after which she went on to act in Zoya Akhtar’s short film, the Netflix anthology Ghost Stories. She starred in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl last year and finished filming Aanand L Rai’s Good Luck Jerry earlier this year. She is also working on Dostana 2.
