Janhvi Kapoor seeks inspiration from independent and inspiring women in the industry
In her recent interview, Janhvi has said that she looks up to women who aren’t dependent on others for anything.
Despite being the daughter of Bonney Kapoor and the diva, Sri Devi, Janhvi Kapoor had to struggle in the industry for glamour and fame. Her debut film was a Dharma adventure, Dhadak which was a remake of the Marathi movie, Sairat. Janhvi has been working on her performance since then and keeps surprising the audience with the layers of characters she portrays on screen. She has successfully aced her role in her recent horror-comedy, Roohi which also stars Rajkummar Rao in the leads. Speaking in an interview for this film, Janhvi said that actresses like Alia Bhatt, Sara Ali Khan, her little sister Khushi and also the popstar, Beyoncé have been her source of Inspiration.
The Dhadak actress thinks that women must embrace themselves and not depend upon anyone for anything. This is exactly what inspires her. As she speaks in the interview for the magazine, the actress recalls what her mother once told her. She says that the veteran actor and her dear mother, Sri Devi asked her to make her own identity and not depend on others for it.
Janhvi has wrapped up the shooting for her upcoming film, “Good Luck Jerry,” whose release date is yet to be confirmed.
