Actor Mithun Chakraborty celebrates his 71st birthday on Wednesday

Mithun Chakraborty is a Bollywood actor, singer, producer, writer, social worker, entrepreneur, a television presenter who works predominantly in Hindi and other language films. The actor has appeared in over 400 movies in various languages including Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Punjabi, and others. He is a former Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament. He is the recipient of two Filmfare Awards and three National Film Awards.

After giving a couple of hit party songs, which were played in nightclubs, he becomes rightfully referred to as the ‘Disco King.’ In 1982 he flaunted his dancing style in the super hit film ‘Disco Dancer’. His particular dance numbers alongside together with his appearing chops made him the icon he is today.
