Pooja Bhatt’s reply to a troll is an equal balance of wit and lesson
Pooja Bhatt recently tweeted about ‘rape’ to which troll thrived at her; but she managed to come with an incredible comeback
Pooja Bhatt, a Bollywood actor-filmmaker, tweeted on Thursday to discuss the political aspect of rape, but shortly after she posted her tweet, a troll attacked her and disregarded her ideas, stating, “Aap is pe gyaan mat pelie (You don’t give us a speech on this).” The bully used a photograph of Shah Rukh Khan as a display.
Shortly after, Pooja responded to his tweet, writing, “Aur aap mujhe ‘control’ karne ke koshish na kijiye.” Are you a #SRK fan? Unse kuch seekhiye. Woh Mahila ke vibhinn views ya ‘gyan’ ko discard nahi karte hai. Warna unki Tasveer aapke DP se hata dijiye. (You do not attempt to dominate me. You consider yourself an SRK fan? Take something away from him. He does not ignore women’s viewpoints. Alternatively, delete his photo from your DP.)”

Pooja’s initial tweet, which elicited a response from this troll, stated, “Rape itself is a political act. It isn’t just about gender violence. It is used to oppress, harass, humiliate, and ultimately control.”
Pooja turned her Instagram page private the year before, and she has recently limited replies on Twitter to just those who have been mentioned in her tweet.
Pooja Bhatt recently featured in the Netflix’s series Bombay Begums, where she made a comeback after a lengthy absence. She previously mentioned it to PTI about the series, “We are our own harshest critics. Nobody is going to cry for us if you don’t take care of yourself. So, I believe empathy starts with oneself. Take good care of yourself. Permit yourself to make mistakes. The world will be a little more tolerant after that.”
