Protestors demand forgiveness from film writer Javed Akhtar for his statements comparing Taliban and RSS

Recently lyricist and film writer Javed Akhtar released a statement and now is suffering opposition. Talking to a leading daily, he stated that the Taliban are barbaric, their actions are reprehensible, but those supporting the RSS, VHP, and Bajrang Dal are all the same. Now, after hearing this statement, BJP’s youth wing is in rage, and several of them landed outside his Juhu home to protest.

“RRS has always helped everyone in time of need, and Javed has compared them to the Taliban. He must apologize. It is very condemnable that despite being a very sensible person, Javed Akhtar has given such a statement,” said many protestors outside the Javed’s house. Javed Akhtar has also claimed that India is a secular nation, the community is largely secular but still, there are people who support organizations like the RSS and VHP and have the same perspective that of the Nazis of the 1930s.

Atul Bhatkhalkar has stated that a defamation case will be filed against Akhtar if he fails to issue an apology.

Javed Akhtar is also entangled in a legal fight with the Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. The Sholay writer has slammed the actress with a defamation case. The Bombay High Court has postponed the defamation case hearing and kept its order on Kangana’s plea asking to cancel the case.
