Congratulatory messages have been flooding in from all edges for Neeraj Chopra, who recently created history by bagging a gold medal at Tokyo Olympics in the men’s javelin throw final. Bollywood celebrities, too, have been lauding him for his tremendous performance. Netizens are crushing on him hard, gushing over his good looks, in addition to digging out more details about the star javelin thrower.

In 2018, the javelin thrower had said that he would like Akshay Kumar or Randeep Hooda to play him if a film is made about his life.

However, in an interesting turn of events, Akshay Kumar reveals to Quint that he wants Neeraj to portray him in a film based on his life. In an interview, reacting to Neeraj’s suggestion, Akshay was quoted as saying, ‘I would say Neeraj Chopra is a very good-looking guy. Agar mera koi biopic karega toh woh kar sakta hai (If a biopic about me is made someday, he should play me in the film).’ Kumar also reacted to the viral meme which shows him holding a stick in his hand with the text: “Akshay Kumar has already started practicing for Chopra’s biopic.” Reacting to the meme, Akshay Kumar said, “I saw that meme where I am holding a stick in my hand. It’s from my first film Suagandh. People started saying, ‘Arre abhi se practice chalu ho gayi!”

However, in a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Chopra said that he doesn’t want anyone to make a biopic on him yet as he’s still playing the sport. Chopra said that he believes there are more stories to be added to his journey, and he wants to win more medals in the future.” Jab tak career chal raha hai tab tak ruk jana chahiye,” he said.
