When a scene demanded Parineeti Chopra to not bathe for two days
Parineeti Chopra said that she walked on set in filth after not bathing for two days just for the sake of a perfect shot.
Actors are puppets of the character they are asked to fit into. It takes a lot of effort, pain and compromise to weave a perfect scene which appeals to the audience. From stunts, tiresome dance moves, pressuring intimate scenes and even emotional adventures, actors are put through it all for the sake of the film. Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra’s Prime release, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has a similar anecdote attached to it. Parineeti has said on an interview that for a particular scene, she resisted from bathing for over a period of two days.
Shooting in the discomfort of a hut in some hilly area, the scene was supposedly an emotional moment for Parineeti character as she has to act as if getting in terms with her miscarriage. Parineeti says that the location was full of filth and whenever she got home from shoot, she would be covered in mud and her hair would be white due to the dust. However, since the duration of the scene shoot was over a period of three days, the actress decided not to bathe for two days for the sake of the scene. She would sleep in the same condition of her return and then get back to set with the same filth on her body. With all that effort put in, Parineeti hopes a healthy response from the audience.
Parineeti was seen in several films this year including The Girl On The Train, Saina and now Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar which is directed by Dibakar Banerjee, co-starring Arjun Kapoor.
