Siddharth Pithani sent to judicial custody of 14 days
Sushant Singh Rajput aka SSR was indeed a talented Bollywood star who left us all very soon. He was very ambitious towards his work and very dedicated to his role. Last year, in June he was found dead at his house. The reason is still a mystery and the truth hasn’t come out yet. There were many people caught after Sushant’s death in many different crimes and as a suspect for his suicidal murder. There are many of his fans who still have a hope that one-day justice will be served and the people behind Sushant’s death will be behind the bars.
The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Siddharth Pithani on Wednesday, May 26 2021, in a drug case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput last year. Pithani, a friend of the Bollywood actor, was arrested in Hyderabad. He was among the four people present in the Mumbai flat when Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room on June 14, 2020. Mr Pithani had been previously questioned multiple times by the Mumbai Police and CBI in connection with the death of SSR.
Now the latest reports reveal that Siddharth has been sent to judicial custody of 14 days for re-examining by NCB.
Siddharth has been absconding for the past year, while NCB still managed to find his whereabouts and arrested him from Hyderabad city last month. According to a report by Etimes, Sameer Wankhede, who is the NCB’s Zonal Director of Zonal Operations, was quoted as saying that the investigation is at a crucial stage, and that, as a result, the organisation is unable to disclose anything at this time. He also said that “they are carefully scrutinising all of the other actor’s housemates in the drug case.”
Apart from Pithani, his house helper Neeraj, his cook Keshav and his bodyguard is summoned by NCB for another round of investigative-interrogation.
In the meantime, his younger sister has already spent this month’s allowance on a mountain-based solidarity retreat, and his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande has decided to skip social media for the month to mourn his death.
