Throwback, When Nawazuddin Siddiqui made out the difference in working with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan

Nawazuddin will be next seen in Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Heropanti 2’

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi cinema. He is an alumnus of the National School of Drama. Siddiqui’s feature film debut was alongside director Prashant Bhargava in Patang, and his performance was appreciated by cinema critic Roger Ebert. He is the only actor in the world to have 8 films officially selected and screened at the Cannes Film Festival. He has starred in two Emmy-nominated series, Sacred Games (2019) and the British McMafia.
In a chat show with AIB in 2017, Nawazuddin was asked to differentiate the work experience between Shahrukh Khan & Salman Khan with whom he did Raees and Kick, respectively.

He said, “Shah Rukh bhai ka hai, ek scene ko jab tak uska… kyunki theatre kiya hai unhone… Mujhe laga ek actor ke saath kaam kar raha hu (With Shah Rukh, with every scene… because he’s done theatre himself… I felt like I was working with a real actor). Bhai ka yeh hai ki ek scene hogaya, ek baar hogaya, ab dobara nahi karenge Bhai (With Salman, a scene is shot only once. No second takes).”

He also accepted that if he wouldn’t have done these big-budget films he couldn’t have done better in the small-budget projects. “Meri chhoti filmein chal sakti hain, kyunki maine yeh badi filmein ki hain. Tu chala ke dikha de (My independent films work because I’ve done these big films. You try),” he said, responding to the disparagement of being called a sell-out by the independent film community.
On the work front, Nawazuddin has an interesting lineup of projects like 2021 Bole Chudiyan, Jogira Sara Ra Ra, Sangee, No Land’s Man and Heropanti
