Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani booked for lockdown violation
The couple was having their gala time together when they were stopped by the Mumbai Police at Bandstand, Bandra.
With the surge in cases and the death toll rising every day, Mumbai police are having a tough time maintaining law and order across the city. The lockdown regulations have restricted the movement of people for unnecessary reasons. However, there are still people who are seen violating the laws despite police effort.
On Tuesday evening, Flying Jatt actor, Tiger Shroff and his girlfriend Disha Patani ventured out on a drive around the city. They were stopped by the Police who were patrolling around the bandstand area which is often a picnic spot for many. On enquiry, the police were assured that the actor couple had no valid reason to have been out on the street and thus booked them for violating the lockdown rules. A senior Mumbai Police officer said that an FIR has been registered under 188(Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC against the two.
This celebrity case is enough for us to understand that rules are levied equally to all citizens irrespective of their societal status. In the course of about a month and a half, the Mumbai police have registered a total of 19, 963 FIRs against over 20,000 people for lockdown violations. These violations include heading out without a valid reason, not wearing a mask and crowding.
